I love October because it is the start of the Holiday season! My favorite time of year is the last 3 months. What a busy month we had. Peyton finished up his first soccer program...

My sis turned 24!! We drove to Ogden to surprise her for dinner! We love you Schonie!

We went to the pumpkin patch!!

And of course Halloween... the kids make the holidays so much fun! We carved pumpkins, trick or treated and had a little party at our house.

The coolest part of the night was our dragon!! My husband is so crafty, he did the majority of this project, everyone loved it!

After 2 years...

I am finally posting, can you believe it?!! A lot has happened in the last two years obviously so I think I will recap what has happened this summer and continue posting to stay updated. I forgot how much I love blogging, just have a hard time finding time. Does it ever slow down though? I feel like I never have enough time in the day even if I start my days out at 5 am. My kids are getting so big so fast. I have so many things to say about them but to sum it up I am so lucky to be their mom!

We went to Cancun in May with Justin and Ashlee and found out that I will finally be an Aunt!!!! We had a blast!

Peyton had the opportunity to feed a baby sea turtle!! He still talks about it...

Peyton and I swam with a dolphin. It was so neat!!

Peyton turned 4 in June! Can you believe it?!

I ran the Ragnar - Wasatch Back from Logan to Park City with my neighbor and sis Ashlee...

We celebrated my mom's 50th and Savannah's birthdays in Jackson Hole...

We went to DISNEYLAND!!!

We managed to go camping/boating a couple of times. My Dad and Mom took the kids fishing for their first time and Peyton caught about 15 fish (with help from Papa and Dad of course!) He took the easy way out and learned at a fish farm.

So big!

We had pictures done just recently for Savannah and Peyton. Savannah is 7 months in 2 days, I can't believe it! Peyton is getting so big. Everyday is such an adventure with him. He can practically say anything. All of the words that come out of his mouth just crack me up. Yesterday he rode home with Zack and was behind me. He said "Daddy pass Mom", Zack said "What?" He said "Pass Mom I want to beat her." He couldn't help but laugh and of course passed me. When we got home Peyton was jumping and said "I beat you Mom!" I am having so much fun with my kids. I am so lucky to have such wonderful kids. Savannah is getting so big herself. She can sit up, rollover, eats baby food, laughs and coos, smiles and just keeps getting cuter! She is definitely a mamma's girl. I am completely OK with that! :) I enjoy every minute of every day with my kids.

We had such a great Christmas! It was so fun this year with Peyton being a little bit older. He still didn't quite grasp Santa but LOVED the presents!

What a fun, busy and crazy month. It always starts out with all of the Christmas shopping, parties and galore. We also have Zack's birthday that falls on the 21st. I always try to make his day special for him since it is kind of hard because it is so close to Christmas. He turned 30 this year so I tried to make it a bang. To start the morning out we got up and I was making brunch for his family. About 9:30 my dad called (all excited) he wanted to talk to Zack. I put him on the phone and Zack comes out of the bedroom and says "do you know why I am supposed to go outside?" I said "No, why?" He went out the front door and yells "Heidi come and check this out" This is what I saw.... To all you ladies out there I know you are jealous!

Zack was so excited. My dad had Zack's Alaskan Grizzly mounted for him. What a Birthday present. I just want to say "Thank you" to my dad for everything he does for us. What a great Dad he is. Needless to say the rest of Zack's birthday was great. I just want to let him know how truly grateful I am for him. He is such a wonderful husband and father. I am so blessed to have him in my life. I am one lucky girl! I love you sweetie!

The things he says...

So last Wednesday night at about 9:30 p.m. Peyton came up to me and had a hilarious conversation...
P: Mom, do you have any money?
Me: What?
P: Do you have any money?
Me: No I don't sweetie, ask your dad.
P: Dad, do you have any money?
Zack: How much do you need?
P: Ummm four.
Zack: Four
P: Yeah!
Zack: Let me see what I have
P: Ok
Zack: Ok buddy I have your money but I only have three.
P: Ok
A little bit of time passes
P: Mom, I go to the store and buy candy.
Me: Oh really that is what you are going to do with your money?
P: Yeah, I go to the store and buy candy now.
Me: I promise you I will take you to the store tomorrow buddy.
P: No. (Throws a little fit and walks away, comes back a few minutes later)
P: Mom, do you have your keys?
Me: What do you need my keys for?
P: I go to the store and buy candy and Roxie (our dog) coming!
Zack: You are going to go to the store with Roxie and get candy!
P: Yeah, bye!!
I have never laughed so hard in my life. How does a two year old know all of that? I got him to go to bed and put his money in his drawer and told him I would take him to the store in the morning. Well the next day came and I thought he would have forgotten, nope. We ate breakfast and right after, I go to the store and buy candy! I couldn't tell him no so we got in the car and went to the gas station. Out of all the candy he chose mini m&m's. Little stinker!!

We were able to do some fun things this last month. Peyton is at such a fun age now. He actually gets into things. My mom, Sheena and I took Peyton and Savannah to Thanksgiving Point one night and then went and picked pumpkins that next day. I love having fun things to do. I am always looking for ideas.

Am I a horrible blogger or what! I can't believe it has been two months since I have posted anything. I will be putting up a lot of new posts to catch up. I love October, fall is here and Christmas is just around the corner. I have to say that I am having so much fun being a mom. Kids make the holidays so much fun! Tonight we made cupcakes and carved out a pumpkin. Well Peyton and Zack did the pumpkin. My husband is so crafty and is such a great dad to our kids. I am so glad that they have a dad that loves to do things with them. He basically took over the pumpkin and cupcakes! I love this time of year because we get to do fun things with friends and family! I hope everyone has a great Halloween!

There are 5 generations alive on my mom's side of the family. We took Savannah to see my Great Grandma Vi at her Assisted Living Center.

A new driveway

My crazy husband decided to tear out our driveway himself and have a new one poured. My brother and Peyton decided they should help him too! Justin has never operated a tractor before. He did not want to try it on our house but Zack got him behind the wheel and he did great!

What a busy month. After a rough June, July seemed to be a great month! We have been busy taking care of our two wonderful kids. Peyton has been a very busy 2 year old. He just doesn't stop, some days I wonder how I am going to keep up with him. Savannah is such a great baby and getting big so fast. :( My dad is up and going and doing great! Here are some pictures of our crazy month!

Our little Savannah came into this world on July 3 at 6:59 a.m. She was 7 pounds 4 ounces and 19 inches long. She is such a wonderful baby, we love her so much!

My Dad and Mom

My dad has recently had surgery on his colon. He was told that he had colon cancer a few weeks ago and that the growth needed to come out as soon as possible. He went in for surgery last week and had the growth removed. They think that the growth is benign. He is now trying to recover from the surgery and is being a tough fighter. His kidneys are not functioning properly now and are sure making him sick. We love you Dad and want you to know that, we know you will pull through and get better soon. It is also my Mom's birthday today. We want her to know how much we love her too. I have two of the best parents anyone could ask for. Life is hard sometimes but together I know we will get through this.
